Gas Basics on BSC
Every BSC transaction costs gas, paid in BNB. Gas cost = gasLimit × gasPrice. For a standard USDT transfer, typical costs are:
- Gas limit: ~65,000
- Gas price: 3 Gwei (standard)
- Cost: 65,000 × 3 × 10⁻⁹ = 0.000195 BNB ≈ $0.12
When Gas is Paid in Your Payment Flow
- Gas top-up: Platform sends 0.002 BNB to deposit address before sweep (~$1.20). This funds the next two steps.
- USDT sweep: Deposit address → master address (~$0.12).
- BNB return: Remaining BNB returned to gas wallet (~$0.08).
Total gas per payment: ~$0.20–$0.40 depending on network congestion.
How Paychainly Reimburses Gas
The exact gas cost (in USDT equivalent at PancakeSwap spot rate) is deducted from the payment before you receive it. You are never charged more than the actual gas cost — no markup.
Gas Price Spikes
BSC occasionally experiences gas price spikes during high activity. Paychainly uses eth_gasPrice at sweep time, not a fixed estimate. During spikes, reimbursement is higher, but the full cost is passed through accurately.
Optimizing Gas Costs
- Higher payment amounts = lower gas as a percentage of revenue.
- Gas costs are fixed per sweep regardless of amount — a $10 and $10,000 payment pay the same absolute gas.
- Set a minimum payment amount higher than your gas cost (~$2.00) to avoid gas exceeding payment value.
