Paychainly for Freelancers: Send Crypto Invoices and Get Paid Faster

The Freelancer Payment Problem

If you work with international clients, you've experienced slow bank wires (3–5 business days), high transfer fees ($15–50 per transfer), and unfavorable exchange rates. PayPal and Wise are better, but still take cuts and have geographic restrictions.

USDT on BNB Smart Chain solves all three problems: instant settlement, under $0.05 in fees, available globally.

Setting Up Your Payment Flow

  1. Create a Paychainly account (free tier available)
  2. Go to Payment Links and create a link for each invoice
  3. Set the amount in USDT (use the current rate if your client pays in USD)
  4. Share the link via email or your invoice tool

PDF Invoice Integration

Paychainly generates PDF invoices for transactions automatically. In Settings → Invoice Settings, add your company name, logo, address, and tax number. Every confirmed payment generates a downloadable PDF.

Converting USDT to Your Local Currency

After receiving USDT, you have several options:

  • Centralized exchange: Binance, OKX, or Bybit offer USDT → local currency pairs with low fees
  • P2P trading: Binance P2P and LocalBitcoins let you sell USDT directly to local buyers via bank transfer
  • Crypto debit cards: Binance Card and Crypto.com Card let you spend USDT directly

Tax Considerations

In most jurisdictions, receiving crypto payment for services is treated as income at the fair market value on the date of receipt. Keep records of each transaction's USDT/USD rate. Paychainly's transaction history export makes this easy at tax time.
